Persimmons in a Dish
These persimmons have been calling to me for days.
Do my artist friends have tired eyes syndrome?? I find myself looking at everything with a view to paint and by the end of the day my eyes are so tired!! I think maybe thats why after a few weeks of regular painting I don't have a choice but to give my eyes a rest to see anew.

Very nice use of the compliments of blue and orange.
ReplyDeleteoh yes, I think you are right. I find myself evaluating the strangest things to see if it would be good to paint. People must wonder what is wrong with me as they see me squinting at things! I'm glad your eyes were not too tired to paint these lovely persimmons. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful Azra. I like the polka dots!
ReplyDeleteHi Azra-catching up and see that you have been painting up a storm. Loving your birds as always. You are getting better and better. I started using acrylics and love them. I know you dip into them in between oils. And thanks for the rainbow blessing-backatcha!
ReplyDeleteLike the texture on their skin, one of your best fruit works I must say Azra!
ReplyDeleteHello Azra:) Ha ha I know what you are talking about. Sometimes I have to tell myself not to act so silly. I see in everything an object to paint. Since I started painting I see everything with different eyes. I see more colors. I like that for sure! Your painting is beautiful. I love that orange color and the light falling on the fruit. Your plate is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you answered the call from those persimmons.:) Beautifully done and the contrasting colors add drama.
ReplyDeleteYes, I see paintings everywhere! Fortunately my eyes don't seem to tire but I do act a little loony in public sometimes while sizing up possibilities!
Beautiful persimmons, love the complimentry colors.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful use of complimentary colors Azra. I especially love the polka dotted pattern on the plate echoing in miniature the roundness of the fruits.
