When flowers open  into this world they  have no idea for how long they will bloom,will the sunshine,will they be admired for their beauty or ignored,cherished or not.Yet they bravely bloom for all they are worth........

Nevertheless 3

This rose has been sitting very patiently and going yellow at the edges ,but nevertheless has beauty that is still to be captured.After the line drawing which is itself a very basic lesson although very valuable, I find myself feeling more expressive so I really had fun with this one.

I have decided to send  my spice jar(which I posted on the 8th of July) to any of my followers who want it.In return I would ask  that they paint it and post it on their blog and then offer it to one of their followers.At some point it would be nice to have the jar back so(I'm making this up as I go along so bear with me)say after  a year from when I send it.Jean Nelson did say she wanted it ,so I will offer it to her first.I'll keep you posted. : )

Nevertheless 2

In spite of these lilies being past their best they are still beautiful and still fragrant.Although whether I have done them justice is another matter. : )

Lillies in a Vase

As you might know from my previous posts my husband and I are  street traders and along the street there is also a florists stall and from time to time he gives me bunches of gorgeous flowers. These lillies are just a feast to look at and I felt a bit daunted whether I would be able to do them justice but I had to try.

I've had a two day break from painting.However much you love doing something sometimes you need a break to see again.You can get too close  and then everything starts to blur.Anyway I've had a break and feel refreshed and seeing colours stronger and brighter.I had this vase and tulips set up two days ago and now the tulips are looking like they won't last another day so here it is.I'm entering this for the http://www.dailypaintworks.com/  Help Japan Challenge.The paintings will be put up for auction by DPW and the proceeds will go to Japan.David Marine is the organiser and is doing an amazing job.Please have a look and see if there is anything you like.
