Hearts and an Apple

I did paint yesterday but I was so lacking in energy that it showed in my work and I just did not think it was worth posting.I know we all  go through off days, but the trick is to bounce back as soon as possible and today I feel better and this gorgeous red apple has been calling to me  for days.
A quote by Henry David Thoreau : "Surely the apple is the noblest of all fruits."
I wanted the background to feel like the dance your taste buds do when you bite into these delicious fruits. : ))

  5. Thank you for your comment on my painting...I do grow geraniums. I have had some of them for over 20 years. I bring them into my studio each fall and they seem to enjoy my tall north windows. I don't know what to do about ones that have been left out... Try warming them... nothing to lose??? I was once able to restart a plant I left out all winter....One leaf was still alive (not a geranium..)
I really enjoy your new apple painting. I like the lively background, the apple itself and especially the hearts on the plate! I admire those of you who DO a painting every day.

  6. I will certainly give it a try. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. The days I can't paint I find myself feeling very disapointed so its become a vital part of the day. It seems like I am making up for all the years I did'nt paint.
