Buddies II

These rosebuds did'nt open, maybe they were picked too early,I don't know.Still I have enjoyed painting them as they are.

It is such a beautiful crisp Autumn day I had to take some photos. These flowers have been blooming the whole summer long and always welcomed me at my doorstep.
Along this avenue we have silver birch ,their so beautiful ,especially at this time of year.

  1. Very nice Azra! The rose buds make for a nice Asymmetry to the painting. Large flowers would not have looked as nice IMHO.

  2. I love the lime green vase, it nicely complements the red roses. You remind me of carol Marine, you both seem to collect wonderful little pieces for your still life paintings.

  3. I really like your colors here -- especially the lime green pitcher with the hot pink accents. Very nice, Azra!

  4. The green and pink pitcher is a great combination and sometimes buds look more attractive and secretive than the opened ones :-)
