I find myself obsessed with trying different techniques for painting roses.This style is very close to how Carol Marine does it ,only she does it ten times better!
Don't sell yourself short Azra - you are a terrific flower painter, and this rose is fantastic! For me though, it's those leaves that steal the show - awesome. :)
I wish I could watch you paint. I love your style Azra, no need to try to be like anyone else! Have you used the palette knife for much of this? It's beautiful. x Jaime
