Solitude

Solitude
Oil on stretched canvas,12"x9"

Part of being an artist is solitude, working away at whatever is our latest piece of art. That peaceful space is something I have always enjoyed.I remember as a child spending time by our local pond making little dishes out of the wet clay, and coming home covered in mud and clay, much to my mum's dismay! Great times indeed.

  2. I really love this one! Very well done. Your are so right about solitude being a big part of an artist's life. Although I'm pretty social, I do enjoy peaceful time to myself and I remember as a child being very content to play alone for hours. Guess that makes hours in the studio enjoyable.

  3. Hello Azra:) This loneliness is maybe the most important thing for me when painting. It is delicious. In my own world with my own thoughts. I could not live without it anymore.
Your rose let see exactly what I mean. Nice!

I enjoy my quiet time in the studio, too. It is my favorite part of the day. :)
