African Violet

Thankyou so much guys for all your comments,I love recieving each and every one of them.
We as women are performing a juggling act with our lives, our  families ,trying to do our best for everyone and at the same time desperately trying to make time to feed our souls too.
I am not complaining,I love my life,God is good .I  have to work hard for a living but there are opportunities to make things better and the will to keep working at it is in my hands.

  2. Azra, your paintings keep getting better and better! Very nicely done! It is a struggle to balance everything and I often find my life lopsided requiring me to shift focus so I can save a little time to nurture my soul. Time is precious and I try to spend it wisely.

  3. Azra, this is so beautiful! I love how you rendered the velvety texture of the leaves, great job.
I know what you mean by juggling act, I haven't been able to paint in a long time, and I am finally getting back to the easel and finding a new balance. But the "other life things" are very important and rewarding as well, so it's not complaining, just an observation. :)

  4. I love this one Azra! My mother raised african violets. I could never keep them alive when I tried. I definitely did not inherit her green thumb. There is just so much to love in this painting. I love the leaves, the flowers and how you painted the light. bravo!

  9. This is gorgeous Azra! Love the dramatic light in the background and those leaves are spot-on - don't know how you did it but they look fuzzy like the real thing. I hope you do even more of these. ♥
