I loved reading all the replies to my question about favourite artists ! My question for today is tell me about your favourite painting that you have created.Provide a link if you can and I would love to know why its your favourite. My favourite is this swan painting,it makes me feel proud to have created it,the colours are in harmony and the light on the water. Most of the time I am very critical of my own work so it makes a refreshing change to be proud of a painting.

Todays painting is another from a collection of chicken photos.
I would say the swan painting too. You are tackling challenging elements in this one. The water is wonderful, with the larger waves in the foreground. Great feeling of light and you are unafraid of dark shadows on the white swan. Even the curve of the swan's neck is a difficult one that you pulled off wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous swan painting love the colors and wonderful light.
ReplyDeleteI love the swan with his head bent, I can see why it is your favorite! You did a great job on the waves and light. True, it is hard to point out one favorite when one is so critical of one's work, and that makes me one of them :-)So I will say I love all that I create even when they are not technically sound or not up to the mark :-)
ReplyDeleteTwo amazing paintings, both of them to be absolutely proud of !
ReplyDeleteAzra, I love your latest chicken! You have done really well capturing the perspective. It is hard to pick a favorite painting. It seems after I paint each one it becomes my favorite until I paint the next one. Ha! But if I had to chose just one I guess it would be Apples with Vase. http://karlasplace-karla.blogspot.com/2012/05/apples-and-vase.html
ReplyDeleteI love the swan also Azra, you did such a good job capturing the sun and the ripples in the water as well as the swan itself! Chicken Licken III is great too, I love how you painted the feathers!
ReplyDeleteGreat question about favorite paintings, I would have to say the painting I'm most proud of as of now is the portrait of my nephew I did earlier this year of Dashing Gabriel. Here's a link to it:http://dangeacpaintings.blogspot.com/2012/03/dashing-gabriel.html
