My lovely friend Tracy bought this spice jar for me,and I've finally plucked up the courage to paint it.The brown spidery looking things next to the strawberries are called star anise and they are lovely added to basmati rice or my personal favourite in a cup of green tea.If you have a cold its especially good for warding off infections.Just pop one in your tea and enjoy the aniseed flavour.

ReplyDeleteAzra, this is lovely! The bits of light that glisten off the jar and the fruit draw the viewer in. I really like the dark background, and the heavy shadow from the jar.
ReplyDeleteThe strawberries and the spice jar make a nice combination and you did a great job on this one Azra! We use the star anise for a south Indian delicacy Bisibele Bath:-)
