Lady with a Parasol (after Claude Monet)
Oil canvas board,4"x4"
NFS |
Its funny how at the beginning of the year motivation is high and before January is over most of the resolutions fall by the wayside. I set myself two goals ...one was to draw the town I live in and the second was to copy famous paintings.I want to renew my resolve to do both things starting with this little 4"x4" of Monet's Lady with a Parosol.
Nicely done! I like the sense of movement in this piece! I admire you sticking to your resolutions and this painting is a lovely way to start! You are such a beautiful artist.
ReplyDeleteVery expressive! She seems very mysterious. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kathleen's statement. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Azra, you did a good job on this Monet! I think we should start a monthly challenge to copy a famous painting or painter! We could take turns picking a painting! Oh actually I love the idea....we could have a blog!
ReplyDeleteAmazing effort.. love the breezy effect you have achieved.
ReplyDeleteMonet would be proud of you :-)) Such great movement of the air, really awesome !
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful brushstrokes. Every stroke is perfect.
ReplyDeleteGood resolutions and I am glad you are trying to do justice to them, very bold approach to this one!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Azra! I love your new photograph of the geese, too. I hope you're staying warm!
ReplyDeleteGreat goal - so much to learn from great painters! I am hoping to do the same and sneak one into my "A to Z" series this week.
