In Earnest oil on oil paper |
Whatever I have tried to do in life, I have tried with all my heart to do it well; whatever I have devoted myself to, I have devoted myself completely; in great aims and in small I have always thoroughly been in earnest.
Having read most of the works by Charles Dickens, I believe he meant every word and what a wonderful and inspirational way to live.
SO Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAzra, what can I say? This is just beautiful - composition, colour, tone, shapes - and you've used two of my favourite complements: magenta and a dark, cool green. Superb!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote, Azra. It works so well with your lovely painting. I appreciate how you always take the time to share something inspirational, along with your art. I have enjoyed watching your progress. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is pure evidence that you follow the same inner voice, and put everything you've got into what you do! Love the painting!
ReplyDeleteI really like the colours in this, Azra, not ones I've put together myself but will give them a go now! I'm not usually drawn to that cool bluey green, but as SMV says, it works so well with the magenta, and together they lift it out of the ordinary (not saying it 'd be ordinary but you know what I mean!).
ReplyDeleteThis flower is so alive and fresh, your work on the petals is awesome !
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteLovely contrast has made it pop out! Love the quote. I have experienced contentment by doing my best and not expecting the result.
ReplyDeleteInteresting combination of depth and a decorative quality. Beautiful colors and especially patterns. It all adds up perfectly!
