I've been tweeking!!
Today has been a beautiful Spring day, bluebells and grape hyacinths are out in the garden. The temperature is 15C!! I wanted to paint something bright and cheerful.
"One touch of nature makes the whole world kin."----William Shakespeare
beautiful painting of cherry tomatoes, love it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sidmar,I'm having a bit of bother with the background though.I think I might change it. : ))
ReplyDeleteAzra, these tomatoes are luscious and your colors are bright and crisp. I think what you are feeling about the background is that it may be competing a bit. Otherwise a very nice still life.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean, yes you're absolutely right.I have already changed it ,but its late in the day so I will repost it tomorrow. : ))
ReplyDeleteThe vibrancy of this work is amazing Azra.I am not sure if its only me,but I love the color of the background.Anyway,as you already made a change, would love to see the changed color.:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Yasha,I've kept the colours .let me know what you think. : ))
ReplyDeleteNice tweaking! I like that you kept the color values but made the background less busy.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Jean,I tried a paler yellow and it ended up making the tomatoes look dull as well. Its amazing how colours can bounce off each other.Vincent van Gogh knew all about it.Have you seen any of his paintings up close?
