The time between seeing something I want to paint and actually getting on with it ,is getting shorter. Before I started blogging years went by without picking up a brush, now its a matter of hours between each painting.I put this down to a number of inspiring events ,but  most of all blogging and the many, wonderful, talented artists that take the time to leave encouraging comments.

  1. I feel the same way about all the supportive comments and advice that I get from my blog friends. I'm glad we inspire you to paint, you're paintings are always delightful. I like how you did the background in this piece, with the two different sides fading into each other. I need to start getting more creative with the backgrounds like that!

  2. Nicely done! Painting in a studio is such a very solitary activity... we are really fortunate to live in a time when blogging is possible. Comments are so affirming and encouraging! Your work is certainly worthy of taking a moment to let you know that.:)

  3. Hi Azra, You have done a magnificent job of capturing the look and texture of these beets. They are not real popular in the States, but I absolutely love them pickled.

In terms if comments, if not for you and other loggers, I'm not sure I could get through the tough days without you. We are all a great support group!

  6. I agree with Karla. You've captured the dusty feel of fresh picked ones (that I love roasted or pickled! Yum!)

  7. You totally got the texture of beets-that dry, milky feel they have about them. I'm a huge fan of beets-especially golden ones. Well done.
