Pink Tulips

A week later and I've finished painting downstairs, the walls and ceilings are done. I've chosen peach and a warm yellow, it makes a change from the duck egg blue we've had for the last four years. The colours are warm and welcoming and I am looking forward to accessorizing with throws and cushions. I'm on a tight budget so the furniture and carpets are staying put for now, its wonderful that I've had the energy, resources and time to give our home some TLC.
I painted these tulips nearly a week ago, I had thought to add to it a bit more, but I think its done.

  1. I can imagine how beautiful the newly painted rooms look, you chose some gorgeous and inviting colors. Love the deep pink color of the tulips and the beautiful shadows on the vase.

  3. Wow, sounds like you've gotten a lot done Azra! Lovely painting, really says Springtime! I just bought some tulips the other day at the grocery store, I love looking at them even though it's still pretty cold here...

  4. I'm about to paint my bathroom this weekend......I'd much rather be painting on canvas!! Your tulips are lovely , great colours and I really like the flowing stems. Tulips can be so difficult to paint because they love to move around with the light.
