Little Bit of Good

Little Bit of Good
oil on oil paper

Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” ~Desmond Tutu

This quote is one of my favourites.
For the last two weeks I have been cooking meals for our neighbour who is a retired mechanic. He went home to Ireland and came back with pneumonia, he was struggling to make meals for himself. I am happy to say that he is back on his feet, his breathing is normal and he looks great. I am grateful to be able to help him when he needed us the most, he has been a wonderful neighbour to us over the last sixteen years, and hopefully for a long time to come.

  1. I would say 'an enormous bit of good' ..........your neighbour is also lucky to have you as a neighbour! The large bright Gerbera is so apt and exquisite.

  5. it's true, Azra, he's honoured to have you as his neighbour but, as you point out, it's equally an honour to look after our elderly who have done so much for us and often fought for things we could take for granted. As for the painting, wow! x
