Freesias in a Jar

Since I began painting I have cut back on all expenses such as clothes, shoes, handbags, make up, everything that I can do without. In place of all of that I allow myself the necessary materials and my one bunch of flowers once a week. However, it has never felt like a sacrifice, I feel blessed that I can choose to spend on what I want, what is essential to me.
This small bunch of freesias were calling to me and their scent has got to be one of the sweetest scents ever.

    I know what you mean Azra. I'll happily buy a new tube of paint before clothing etc. We are lucky indeed to have that choice.
    Freesias smell beautiful ....... You've really captured them.

    Azra, lovely words and beautiful, beautiful painting. Reading your post, JK Rowling flashed across my mind - a woman for whom I have great respect and admiration. I'm reminded of her saving everything she could to feed her daughter and ultimately buy her first typewriter. I wonder why I thought of her? Could you be on the brink of something great?? I hope so! :)

    Favorite scent for me, also. And gardenias, which are blooming by my back door now! A classic Azra painting!

    So lfresh and light, Azra, you've really caught their beauty and delicacy. Lovely cheerful flowers, and the blue and pink are so pretty together.

    Freesias are one of my top favorite flowers, love their scent, and I love your positive attitude . Beautiful soft rose colored freesias and great work on the glass as usual. Like someone said, a classic Azra painting :-))
