Rose Bud

I had the pleasure of making a heart shaped wedding cake for a friend .It was fresh cream and I decorated it with strawberry hearts and fresh pink roses and carnations.Fresh cut flowers don't often have any fragrance but these roses actually had the most amazing sweet smell.

With what little time I had left today I did this little rose painting ,still trying very hard to remember Adebanji's tutorial.I think I'm getting there, its fun trying anyway.

  6. Wow gorgeous cake Azra. I've never seen a cake with real flowers! Your painting is really pretty too. Especially love the dark burgundy shadows in the center of the petals where the flower is narrower and denser.

  8. Gorgeous cake AND painting Azra - and it's nice to see your sweet, pretty face for real (not just in self-portrait form).
Haven't been here for a while so it was a treat to see all the flowers you've been painting! My favorite subject in your signature style. ♥
ps - What does the writing on the cake translate to in English?
