That Fingerprint! Doh!

I've had the weekend off because having two hormonal teenagers can be  a joy and a test at the same time. One minute their that sweet child that you have lovingly brought up and the next you're wondering what happened!!!!!  I'm back a little older and with a few more grey hairs ,but as my brother reminded me today I have to take care of myself before I can take care of everybody else. That for me means painting and today I took up the new challenge this week on http://www.dailypaintworks.com/ website. It is a zippo lighter using only two colours and I had great fun doing it.

  3. I think that this is a really spiritual painting. I know it is only a lighter, but it reminds me of the islamic saying, 'only God is perfect', because the painting has a fingerprint on it.
Many islamic artists in medieval times used to make a slight marring of their work, to show that they had GOd in their hearts and always respected his prescence around them and reflected that in their work.

  4. Thanks Tracy! You were saying that the Taj Mahal was built with imperfections deliberately,to build something so beautiful is amazing and not have these imperfections show even more so.You are so full of knowledge!
