Levitation

Wanting to defy gravity is something that man has a deep fascination for. To be able to float without a care even if its for a short time and I guess painting does that for me. When I'm in the middle of a painting I am completely lost,  in that short time all worries and cares are left by the wayside.
A friend of mine who has supported me since I began painting urges me to put feeling into my work. This sunflower floating in the vase goes in someway towards that goal of conveying my feelings.

  2. I do see lots of feeling and personality in your painting. I can tell that you are very involved in the process of creating. I think some artists only focus on the end product, and just want to 'get there'. But I am one who values the process. It's like reading a good book, or going to a good movie, or having a pleasant conversation with a friend. Every second of the creation is time well spent. Congrats on a lovely painting, and thanks for telling about your feelings as you paint.

  5. Azra, this is one of my favorite paintings of yours. It is exquisite, and full of feeling! I had left a comment earlier today on DPW, but apparently it didn't go through. I'm sorry about that.
