Heatwave

I bought this bunch of gladioli last week and have been watching each flower open. I desperately wanted to paint each stage, but lots of things have been happening. Kittens with stuck hairballs, daughter getting engaged, you know everyday things. :  )

After all the excitement I've finally found time to settle down and paint.

  1. I am glad you could make some time to paint this lovely bouquet, apt for me to congratulate you on the special occasion in your life :-)

  2. Congratulations on your daughter's engagement! Oh yes I do know about those everyday things. Painting just has to take a back seat sometimes. I'm in a town called La Chataigneraire, south of Nantes studying the French language. It's another passion of mine besides painting.

  4. This could be a forty foot high mural and hold its own. It really has a monumental feel.
