Letting Go

In my experience I have found that the minute I let go of all expectations, things happen, good things happen. So I'm trying to apply that principle to painting. Just having fun, enjoying the experience of letting go.

  1. I agree with you completely, Azra. It should be all about the journey, not the destination, right? These paintings are really lovely. I see a sense of freshness and spontaneity about them. The titles are perfect!

  2. Probably the right way to do it. They are all beautiful but the middle one really seduced me ! xx

  3. Well after being rather submerged in life as it were, I'm thrilled to see so many paintings, thoughts, and the news about your daughter!!! Wonderful! Hugs to you across the pond :)

  5. These are spectacular Azra, the decision to let go is great, the freedom that is felt with such a decision has to be only experienced!

  6. Loving your journey into abstraction, Azra. It's not easy and you've executed these will skill and delicacy. I absolutely love the way the final flower looks as though it's about to leave thus summing up your very apt title.
